Since I was a teenager and my shape became a topic, I had quiet a long time in my life, upcoming spring got me mixed feelings. Beside the lovely inspiring energy Spring always meant to me less hiding in clothes, free arms (iek!) and legs (uff). And worst: It meant summer comes closer (Bikini! S.O.S! S.O.S.!).
Do you know that as well? You are in good company. For a lot of women it’s same procedure every year. And I guess most of us are sick of it, no?
It’s annoying how every magazine tells us in January to be ready for bikini season. 5 exercise to a flat belly, 10 steps to skinny legs … 50 ways to get depressed for sure!
There’s nothing wrong in wanting to change your body, to become fitter if you don’t feel like.
But to change your body you need time. It will not come overnight or last without keep going (sorry for reminding you!). Therefore you need to keep going for a while – best forever.
Knowing this fact ask yourself: Would you still choose the workout you had chosen to become crispy, fit and the next topmodel (ok, last one was a bit over the top)? Would you really, really want to go on with this workout?
Yes? Congratulations! Let me know in the comments what you choose to workout and why you love doing it – even for a while!
No? Let’s go deeper.
To keep going you need to enjoy your workout. Enjoying a workout!? Yes, I’m serious. It’s possible. Don’t get me wrong: Every workout that really brings change to you, will push you out of the comfort zone. Strong and tight bodies don’t come with wishing. But it’s even possible to workout efficient and fun. All you need is a smart concept, combining fitness knowledge and methods with sensuality and psychological developed stuff.
Love it and you will keep going
Keep going. Don’t believe the trainers and concept creators if they behave as you only (or best) loose weight with their program. It doesn’t matter that much. What really matters, is to keep going! As long you do more than you did before and your eating and your mindset (totally underrated!) is in line you will loose fat and gain muscles.
Of course: You need to step out of your comfort zone and this might suck sometimes. Change only happens outside the comfy area. BUT to get a real success it’s key you like the workout although! Otherwise – I promise you – you gonna quit. Ask yourself: What has to happen to me, that I will keep going? Make a reality check: Is this workout really yours? Does it make you feel better although it’s kicking your ass?
Work it 3dimensional
I highly recommend you to train three dimensional – choose a fitnessprogramm that strengthens not only your body but also your mind & soul. THIS is totally helping you keep going. Cause first you use your time way better and second it motivates you from the start. If you are only motivated by results of your visible changing body you might have to wait too long cause body changes need time. Emotionally and mentally you feel the impacts suddenly. This releasing feeling while rocking to awesome beats … The joy to express yourself and knowing its good for you …
Don’t think in calories
Programs, claiming you are losing 800-1000 calories in an hour, ain’t serious cause how much calories you loose is very individual and at the end not the main point. It’s about building muscles, strengthen your cardio vascular systems, pushing your happiness hormones and keeping your whole body (and mind) flexible.
Find your tribe
Make friends for your workout and go for the perfect match for you. Nothing is more motivating than to share the workout and the philosophy behind. Don’t go for the second best. You wouldn’t do this with your husband neither o? Never forget. You’ll be around your fitness partners often … make sure you like them and you have a lot in common.
